For the third day in a row, drone attacks by Sudan’s RSF targeted Port Sudan, causing widespread panic.
Key sites hit included a hotel, power station, military base, and the city’s only international airport.
Residents, already facing inflation, fear further shortages of fuel and basic supplies.
Port Sudan, the de facto capital and humanitarian hub, now faces power cuts and suspended operations.
The government accused the UAE of supplying RSF drones and has since severed diplomatic ties with Abu Dhabi.
Officials say the RSF is targeting civilians rather than military forces.
As the army prepares to retake Darfur, Sudan’s devastating conflict is once again escalating.
Al Jazeera’s Hiba Morgan reports from Khartoum.
