At the National Arab American Convention (ArabCon 2025) in Dearborn, activists pressed Trump to deliver on promises of peace in Gaza.
The city, home to a majority Arab American population, was pivotal in the 2024 election.
Trump campaigned there, unlike Kamala Harris, and won Arab votes that secured Michigan.
Some activists argue Biden failed to stop the Gaza war, leaving Trump to face its aftermath.
Democrats counter that Trump betrayed promises by giving Netanyahu a “blank cheque.”
The Arab American community is divided on Trump’s role in Gaza’s genocide.
But united, they stress their voting power will shape Michigan’s future elections.
Al Jazeera’s Patty Culhane reports from Dearborn, Michigan.
