In what’s considered a authorized first, Avon and Somerset Police has admitted unlawfully arresting 4 protesters after “misunderstanding” the impact of coronavirus laws.
The power has agreed to pay substantial damages and provided an unreserved apology in a case which may have implications for policing of different protests throughout the pandemic.
