Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and his wife, Casey DeSantis, have found themselves in hot water with their fellow Republicans after a bombshell investigation from journalists at the Miami Herald and Tampa Bay Times alleges that Casey DeSantis’ Hope Florida nonprofit foundation improperly sent federal Medicaid funds to Ron DeSantis-affiliated PACs to defeat a ballot measure that would’ve legalized recreational cannabis use instead of using that money to help the impoverished people the foundation claims to be serving.
