The right-wing populist party Reform UK has made significant electoral gains in parts of England.
In one constituency, it overturned the ruling Labour party’s large majority, to win its fifth parliamentary seat in a by-election.
The party’s leader, Nigel Farage, says the results show the country’s political landscape is shifting.
