Israeli-Palestinian film No Other Land wins Oscar for best documentary

Despite not finding a US distributor, a film centred around Israel’s destruction of a community in the occupied West Bank won an Oscar, for Best Documentary Feature.
“No Other Land” shows Israeli soldiers tearing down homes and evicting residents to create a military zone.
The film is a collaboration between Palestinians and Israelis
The documentary is set in Masafer Yatta in the occupied West Bank, which is home to one of the co-directors, Basel Adra.
He told Al Jazeera that winning an Oscar was a chance to show people in Western countries what Israel is doing to communities such as his.
