Voting is underway in New York city to elect a new mayor.
The race could see the Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani installed as the first Muslim leader of the city.
He’s running against former governor Andrew Cuomo, who’s now an independent candidate, and Republican, Curtis Sliwa.
A record number of people voted early.
