Pakistan’s defence Minister says the US is leading efforts to descalate soaring tensions with India
Islamabad claims it shot down 25 drones overnight, including some targetting Karachi. India struck Pakistan with missiles on Wednesday, killing at least 31 people. New Delhi blames Islamabad for an attack that killed 26 tourists last month.
Pakistan denies involvement and has said that India has not provided any evidence of its allegation.
Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Aragchi, has called for restraint while on a visit to New Delhi, where he met India’s Foreign Minister.
Aragchi made a similar call while on a visit to Pakistan on Monday.
