Stand clear of the closing doors, purr-lease.
A stray kitten who went viral after boarding a New York City subway train last week has been adopted by a fellow commuter.
Emmie — an ode to the MTA — is officially a proud Harlem resident after subway rider Betsaida Mercado, who whisk-ered the kitten to safety, decided to keep her.
Emmie is now living with her new sibling, a 13-year-old pup named King, and is adjusting to indoor life just feline.
Mercado, who was shocked when the tiny rider joined her morning commute downtown last Thursday, brought Emmie to the vet the next day. The vet confirmed that the kitten was not microchipped and was looking for a furr-ever family.
Despite the morning chaos, Mercado was able to rescue Emmie — and make it to work on time.
“I am proud of myself for doing that … now [we are] being rewarded with a beautiful baby kitten,” Mercado said.
