A number of work by artist Claire Cansick. Cansick lives and works within the Norfolk Broads Nationwide Park in England. Her work is impressed by the dynamism of nature, typically demanding a stage of respect by confronting viewers with its untameable ferocity. For this explicit collection, Cansick makes an attempt to seize the feel and appear of the waves that overwhelm her whereas swimming within the North Sea. Whereas beginning out small, the continuing mission is rising in scale and at present features a 122 x 304cm diptych:
“As a swimmer within the bloody freezing North Sea I got here throughout an outdated waterproof digital camera which I exploit to take grainy photographs of waves attempting to drown me. My work has now turned in the direction of these hundreds of photographs and I’m at present embarking on making giant work of aforementioned intimidating waves, with one caveat — no blue allowed. A passionate hate of sickly blue work of the ocean and the truth that the North Sea is most undoubtedly inexperienced fuels this collection.”
