Trump’s tariff threats raise fears of export decline among Chinese manufacturers

China is grappling with US tariffs. Concerns about a 20 percent levy on its goods have played out behind the scenes at the National People’s Congress.
The annual meeting of the country’s top political advisory body closed earlier on Monday.
Foreign Minister Wang Yi spoke about the Trump administration’s foreign policy, saying major powers shouldn’t bully the weak.
He also confirmed Beijing’s plan to counter US pressure on tariffs.
But China’s latest export figures suggest the tariffs are already having an impact.

Al Jazeera’s Tony Cheng reports from Chinese manufacturing heartland, Zhejiang.
