Turkiye court adjourns case challenging CHP opposition party’s congress

A court in Turkiye’s capital has adjourned to October a case that could remove the head of the main opposition party, after a year-long legal crackdown.
The court is set to decide whether to overturn the internal election result of the Republican People’s Party (CHP) that current chairman Ozgur Ozel.
The party faces charges of electoral fraud. It says the allegations are politically motivated.
