Voting begins in Chad as opposition parties call for election boycott

Voters in Chad will go to the polls on Sunday, in the country’s first parliamentary elections in 13 years.
The ruling party says the election is a final step in returning Chad to constitutional rule, following a coup in 2021. But opposition parties are threatening to boycott the vote, saying it could be rigged.

Al Jazeera’s Catherine Soi reports from N’Djamena, Chad.
