Using disused army barracks is one of the alternatives to asylum hotels being considered by the UK government.
Labour has pledged to close all asylum hotels by the end of the decade, with the hotel scheme, introduced by the Conservative government and Boris Johnson in 2019, expected to total ÂŁ15bn by 2029.
