What does a full day of solar appear to be on the earth’s southernmost level? Robert Schwarz, who was stationed within the antarctic for 15 years as a part of the experimental Keck undertaking, filmed an illuminating timelapse whereas on the snowy location that reveals the intense star floating above the horizon for a whole five-day interval. Shot in March 2017, the footage captures the intense sky simply earlier than the primary sundown in months, when the pole experiences a darkish interval from April to August.
