Within the wake of what many view as failures by legislation enforcement and the US legal authorized system, folks have been calling for an alternate strategy, putting abolition on the centre of mainstream discourse on confront police brutality and systemic racism.
That strategy should be each humane and embody a much bigger image imaginative and prescient for coping with crime and violence, says political activist and scholar, Angela Davis, who has been on the forefront of actions to abolish prisons and the police for many years.
