(Reuters) – The U.S. Division of Justice (DOJ) has accelerated its two-year-old antitrust probe on Apple Inc within the final a number of months, growing the probability of a lawsuit, the Data reported on Monday.
Attorneys for the DOJ have requested Apple, its prospects and rivals questions on how the corporate maintains its strict management over the iPhone, the report mentioned, citing two individuals with data of the investigation.
The investigation could be very “prone to result in a lawsuit, although the specifics are nonetheless in flux,” in line with the report.
The DOJ declined to remark, whereas Apple didn’t instantly reply to a Reuters request for remark.
