A collection by Arizona-based photographer Andrea Koesters. “Aravaipa” means “laughing waters” within the Apache language. Deemed a “primitive” space by the Bureau of Land Administration, this previously populated city is a part of the Sonoran desert the place rural dwellings, desert landscapes and pure beings run wild. In line with Koesters it continues to unveil its cryptic historical past at present:
“‘Aravaipa’ particulars this mysterious place as I’ve skilled it — the geology, folks and animals who all contribute to the Southwestern desert I name house.”
