ast week, maintaining my pledge to write down about artwork between the 2 coasts, I swung not cowboy-but road-trip-style from Houston to Dallas, Fort Value, Tulsa, and Bentonville in Arkansas. Within the subsequent few weeks, I’ll write about some new museum structure, Rothko, Miro, Twombly, Homer, Remington, Nefertiti, Native American artwork, and the thrilling, inspirational Crystal Bridges Museum. My hors d’oeuvre was Saturday’s story in regards to the Berruguete exhibition on the Meadows Museum in Dallas. The present is an important prequel to Spanish aesthetics from El Greco to Ribera.
