Boeing Co pays over $2.5bn to resolve the USA Division of Justice (DOJ) investigation into two lethal 737 MAX crashes that killed 346 folks, the DOJ mentioned.
The DOJ mentioned the settlement features a legal financial penalty of $243.6m, compensation funds to Boeing’s 737 MAX airline clients of $1.77bn, and the institution of a $500m crash-victim beneficiaries fund to compensate the heirs, family and authorized beneficiaries of the passengers.
