Chinese language crews from 12 vessels have commenced an operation to scrub up an oil spill after the cargo ship Sea Justice collided with Liberia-flagged tanker A Symphony on Tuesday, inflicting a spill.
Officers in Shandong province stated that 12 vessels have been dispatched on Wednesday to clear up what has been termed a “minor” oil spill. A supply from the Shandong Maritime Security Administration instructed Reuters that preliminary estimates recommend round 500 tons of oil – equal to three,420 barrels – leaked into the Yellow Sea close to the Chinese language port metropolis of Qingdao following the collision on Tuesday.
