Work by artist Karen Ösp Pálsdóttir. Pálsdóttir obtained her BFA from the Maryland Institute School of Artwork (MICA) in 2013. Her most up-to-date monochromatic works discover varied topics by means of a Cobalt Blue lens. Impressed by the fragile interaction of elasticity and depth, every composition turns into half of a bigger exploration of temporality and impermanence:
“This ‘fashionable, Improved Blue’ turns into a tactile expertise in monochromatic simplicity and invitations the viewer to see by means of a singular lens, akin to an optical filter. The Blue Star Fern, a reoccurring collaborator, usually emerges as a fusion of transparency and distortion. It stands as a quiet observer of the evolving lucidity of the human situation and the dance between what’s and what is perhaps.”
