A number of crocodiles have washed away after torrential rainfall in KwaZulu-Natal, which triggered localised flooding in lots of components of the province.
Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife warned of 12 crocodiles that washed away from the Crocodile Creek Farm between Tongaat and Ballito on 13 April. The most recent replace from Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife reported that seven of the crocodiles have been recaptured, however the search remains to be on for the remaining 5.
An Ezemvelo spokesperson mentioned they believe that ‘they could have moved in direction of the Tongaat River which is lower than a kilometre from the farm’.
