A Florida girl is looking for over $5 million from the mother or father firm of Velveeta Shells & Cheese over their deceptive “prepared time.”
Amanda Ramirez, of Hialeah, filed the class-action lawsuit in opposition to Kraft on November 18.
The lawsuit accuses the corporate of deceptive labeling and falsely advertising and marketing their microwavable single-serve cups of mac and cheese.
The submitting moreover claims that Kraft violated Florida’s Misleading and Unfair Commerce Practices Act “by partaking in unfair strategies of competitors, unconscionable acts and practices, and unfair and misleading acts and practices within the conduct of its enterprise.”

“The assertion of ‘prepared in 3½ minutes’ is fake and deceptive as a result of the Product takes longer than 3-and-a-half minutes to organize for consumption,” the lawsuit states.
