A former normal election candidate who denies producing a slash-hook as a weapon throughout a dispute with a piece crew in Dublin will face a District Courtroom trial in July.
Businessman Brian Garrigan (57), who unsuccessfully ran as an unbiased candidate in Dublin North Central in 2020, was accused of participating in threatening, abusive and insulting behaviour below the Public Order Act, a weapons offence for the manufacturing of a slash-hook throughout a dispute and felony injury to freshly-laid tarmac.
The incident allegedly occurred at Annesley Bridge Street, Fairview, Dublin 3, on October twenty second.
Mr Garrigan, of Fairview Nook, Dublin 3, has pleaded not responsible to all the costs introduced towards him and appeared at Dublin District Courtroom to get a date for his non-jury trial.

Mr Garrigan has introduced on social media that he intends to run within the upcoming native elections for Dublin Central “to place Irish lives first”, with a photograph of him holding an “Irish Lives Matter” poster.
