Ten EU states have signed an announcement saying nuclear energy needs to be labeled as green-friendly within the EU’s upcoming industrial “taxonomy”, designed to steer non-public capital. “There is no such thing as a science-based proof that nuclear energy is much less climate-friendly than any of the power sources,” Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia mentioned, including nuclear energy was “an important and dependable asset for a low-carbon future”.
