A person aged in his 40s has died in a street crash in Co Clare.
Gardaí have been referred to as to the scene of a single automobile crash on the N18 at Cratloekeel shortly earlier than noon on Saturday.
The motive force and sole occupant of the car concerned, a person in his 40s, sustained critical accidents and was taken to Limerick College Hospital the place he later died.
A postmortem might be performed at a later date.
The N18 at Cratloekeel between Junction 5 Cratloe and Junction 4 Limerick is closed as forensic collision investigators conduct an examination of the scene. Native diversions are in place.
Gardaí are interesting for any witnesses to this collision to return ahead.
