BRITS are set to face journey chaos as a whole bunch of employees at a serious airport have voted to stroll out for FOUR days.
Holidaymakers travelling via Heathrow Airport will endure days of journey hell, as greater than 600 staff have voted to strike.
The PCS union introduced this afternoon that greater than 600 Border Drive officers at Heathrow Airport are to take 4 days’ strike motion from April 11 in a dispute over shifts.
The Border Drive guards have been contemplating industrial motion after listening to staff’ shifts could change, and had till March 22 to make a name.
They claimed employees’s rosters and shift patterns have been seeking to be modified, to the anger of staff.
If the employees voted to stroll out, it is going to doubtless affect households making an attempt to fly dwelling from their Easter half-term break.
Fran Heathcote, the Public and Industrial Providers Union (PCSU) common secretary, stated earlier this month: “Our members at Heathrow are united of their opposition to those draconian plans.
“One side of the plans would pressure staff to decide on between discovering one other job or dropping their allowances.
“One other would see others having to enroll to new, exhausting shifts or leaving altogether.
“That is an appalling approach to deal with long-serving, devoted employees, so it’s no surprise we’ve recruited a whole bunch of members in latest weeks.”
