The broadcaster Jane Garvey is leaving the BBC to host a brand new programme and podcast for Instances Radio, it has been introduced.
Garvey has hosted exhibits for the BBC for nearly 30 years and, along with Fi Glover, has offered the favored Luckily podcast for the BBC since 2017.
Glover is about to depart the BBC alongside Garvey and the pair will launch a brand new Instances Radio podcast – plus a dwell weekday afternoon present – on 10 October.
Luckily will proceed to air on the BBC till the tip of the 12 months.
Garvey stated she was “delighted” to be becoming a member of the station after “a superb time working for the BBC”.
The duo are the newest in an extended line of high-profile BBC stars switching to the business sector, following Vanessa Feltz, Simon Mayo, Emily Maitlis and Andrew Marr amongst others.
Garvey and Glover will co-present a programme from 3pm-5pm, Monday to Thursday, overlaying the day’s information and their reflections on the day.
In a press release, Garvey stated: “I’ve had a superb time working for the BBC. Now I’m delighted to be becoming a member of the award-winning group at Instances Radio. We will’t wait to get began on a dwell mixture of illuminating dialog, topical interviews and occasional carping.”
Glover added: “It’s been an incredible 29 years with the BBC. However I’m so wanting ahead to bringing Instances Radio listeners some extraordinary tales from some extraordinary folks with Jane.”
