A MAN has been arrested after Billund Airport obtained a warning a couple of bomb risk.
Denmark’s second largest airport was evacuated instantly and can stay shut following the risk.
The South East Jutland Police have confirmed that they had been notified of a bomb risk at 10.30am on April 20.
Police inspector Michael Weiss stated: “We ask everybody to not drive in the direction of the airport and to comply with the police’s directions on the spot.
“The evacuation has proceeded calmly and as anticipated, with travellers following our directions.”
Investigations into the incident are at the moment ongoing.
It’s at the moment unclear when the airport will have the ability to reopen.
