A person in his 30s has been arrested by gardaí in Cork metropolis following an acid assault which was carried out within the southside suburb of Ballyphehane on Friday night.
The assault happened shortly after 8pm yesterday when a person compelled his approach in to a home on Connolly Highway. Gardai and the emergency companies have been alerted.
A forty five-year-old man was eliminated by ambulance to Cork College Hospital with non-lifethreatening accidents. He incurred accidents to his face, head and higher physique. His two brothers have been additionally handled in hospital for much less severe accidents.
The scene of the assault has been cordoned off and shall be technically examined later this morning. The person who was later arrested in reference to the incident stays in custody on the Bridewell Garda Station in Cork metropolis.
