Houston-based offshore contractor McDermott has struck a take care of PTTEP Sabah Oil for offshore transportation, set up and commissioning work on the Kikeh subsea fuel carry mission, offshore Sabah in East Malaysia.
The contract value as much as $50m covers removing of the prevailing versatile fuel carry riser and set up and commissioning of a brand new dynamic riser part and flowline comprised of two thermoplastic composite pipe jumpers that may allow fuel supply to a subsea manufacturing system tied again to the Kikeh floating manufacturing, storage and offloading vessel, the primary and largest deepwater FPSO in Malaysia.
Challenge administration and engineering will likely be executed from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with help from different McDermott places of work.
“McDermott is uniquely positioned to ship this mission, having carried out the set up of subsea infrastructure within the Kikeh subject between 2011 and 2012, and once more in 2014, within the close by Siakap North-Petai subject,” stated Mahesh Swaminathan, McDermott’s senior vp for subsea and floating services.
Operated by PTTEP on behalf of companion Petronas Carigali and PT Pertamina Malaysia Exploration Manufacturing, the Kikeh subject has been producing from the prevailing Kikeh FPSO since 2007.
