Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, software program business icon N R Narayana Murthy, his spouse and Rajya Sabha member Sudha Murty, former cricketer Rahul Dravid and actor Prakash Raj have been among the many early voters as polling started in 14 Lok Sabha constituencies in Karnataka on Friday.
Many cubicles reported brisk voting within the first hour of polling as folks sought to “beat the warmth”.
Chatting with PTI Movies, Prakash Raj stated he voted for the candidate that he has religion in and “for the problems talked about within the manifesto of the events.”
“I’ve voted towards the hate and people who find themselves dividing the nation. I’ve voted for an excellent consultant from my constituency,” he stated.
Polling started at 7 a.m. and can finish at 6 p.m.
A complete of 247 candidates—226 males and 21 ladies—are within the fray for the primary section in 14 segments overlaying many of the southern and coastal districts, the place greater than 2.88 crore voters are eligible to train their franchise in 30,602 polling stations.
