Japan’s Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) has signed up for a complete of 4 LNG-fuelled capesize bulk service newbuildings at shipyards in Japan and China.
The Tokyo-headquartered transport main has divided orders between Nihon Shipyard, who will construct two ships, whereas one vessel every will probably be constructed at fellow Namura Shipbuilding and CSSC-affiliated Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding.
