Japanese delivery line Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) will take part within the design, growth and engineering work of a floating LNG storage and regasification energy technology facility (FSRP) deliberate close to Lae, the capital of Morobe province in Papua New Guinea (PNG), along with the Chiyoda Company and Moss Maritime, a Norwegian firm. This design, growth and engineering work contract was handed out by Kumul Petroleum Holdings Restricted, a nationwide oil firm in Papua New Guinea.
The brand new FSRP facility can have the capability to generate 75 MW of energy to be exported to the native transmission grid, along with with the ability to load and retailer 140,000 cu m of LNG that may be offloaded to small scale vessels and redistributed to native areas. The LNG can be regasified and exported as gasoline through a pipeline to native areas as effectively.
