A homicide investigation has begun within the North after a person died from stab wounds.
The 47-year-old male sufferer was attacked a month in the past in north Belfast and was being handled in hospital for his accidents, however died on Sunday morning.
Police Service of Northern Eire (PSNI) detective chief inspector John Caldwell has appealed for additional details about the assault.
“Police had been referred to as to a home in Harcourt Drive at round 6.15am on Friday seventh January following a report of a stabbing,” he stated.
“The sufferer was taken to hospital for therapy however sadly succumbed to his accidents and handed away this morning, Sunday sixth February.”
Numerous arrests have been made already in relation to the incident, which is now being handled as a homicide inquiry by the PSNI’s main investigation staff
Det chief inspector Caldwell stated enquiries are ongoing.
