“Savarkar signed this letter whereas Mahatma Gandhi, pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel have been in jail for years… didn’t write any letter. I consider Savarkarji signed this letter due to worry,” the Congress chief mentioned.
In the meantime, former Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray, who heads a faction of the Shiv Sena, on Thursday mentioned his social gathering has immense respect for VD Savarkar and he doesn’t approve of Congress chief Rahul Gandhi’s remarks on the liberty fighter.
