A multi-agency rescue operation is continuous on the north Mayo coast on Sunday after a person received trapped in a cave at Downpatrick Head.
The Irish Coast Guard stated it acquired an preliminary alert on Saturday afternoon and the rescue operation “presently includes a lot of sources”.
Plenty of Coast Guard items, a RNLI lifeboat from the native space, the Coast Guard Rescue Helicopter from Sligo, An Garda Siochana, Mayo County Hearth Service, Civil Defence and Irish Cave Rescue are all concerned.
“The circumstances on scene are described nearly as good and the operation is ongoing at current,” a spokeswoman for the Irish Coast Guard stated on Sunday morning.
