A multi-agency rescue operation is constant in Co Mayo this morning after a person grew to become trapped in a sea cave.
ardaí and emergency providers stay on the scene of an ongoing operation within the Downpatrick Head space.
It’s understood he could have been caught by rising waters within the cave on Saturday night.
A spokesperson for Malin Head Coast Guard mentioned it was tasked to the scene and the state of affairs is ongoing.
“There’s a whole lot of companies there this morning from coast guard to lifeboat to cliff rescue and gardaí. They’re hoping to get this man out quickly,” the spokesperson mentioned.
“I feel this cave has entry each from up high and from the ocean, and I feel he could have went down from up above and received trapped.”
