A ship is stranded about 70km off the NSW coast after its energy failed on Thursday evening, authorities say.
The Rio Madeira, a Singaporean container ship with 27 crew on board, is at the moment drifting south off Narooma, whereas crews are en route to assist tow the vessel into port.
The Australian Maritime Security Authority mentioned the ship was in no rapid hazard of hitting the coast.

Media stories say the ship has greater than 3000 containers on board, 126 of that are listed as “harmful” items.
The ship can also be carrying greater than 3000 tonnes of heavy gas oil and greater than 200 tonnes of diesel oil.
