Taken throughout six continents, the entries to the 2021 World Nature Images Awards seize the hungry, curious, and ingenious animals across the globe. This 12 months’s winners embrace an arctic fox braving an Icelandic snowstorm, a trio of crimson ants forming a bridge to let one another move between rocks, and a serendipitous shot of a leopard seal making ready to snack on a gentoo penguin, which garnered the highest prize. Centering on each the most important and the usually imperceptible creatures inhabiting the planet, the images are numerous and an instance of the marvel and awe that exists at each stage of the animal kingdom.
