“The (Taliban) Mujahideen have captured an essential border city referred to as Wesh in Kandahar,” Taliban spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, stated in a press release.
“With this, the essential street between (Spin) Boldak and Chaman and Kandahar customs have come beneath Mujahideen management.”
A Pakistan safety supply confirmed the insurgents had taken management of the crossing. The Afghan defence ministry stated it was checking developments.
“The Taliban has taken management of the Afghan facet of the Chaman-Spin Boldak border crossing,” the Pakistani safety supply instructed AFP on situation of anonymity.
“They’ve raised their flag and eliminated the Afghan flag.”
