British minister Gavin Williamson has tendered his resignation after allegations of bullying have been levelled towards him.
Williamson stated on Tuesday that he has determined to step again from the federal government to allow him to “comply totally” with an investigation into his conduct. He has been accused of bullying colleagues up to now.
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak stated on Tuesday he had accepted minister Williamson’s resignation “with nice unhappiness” and was grateful for his private assist and loyalty.
“I assist your choice to step again and perceive why you may have taken it … I want to thanks to your private assist and loyalty,” Sunak stated in a letter to Williamson which was revealed by the federal government.
Sunak has been beneath strain for the selection of a few of his ministers after he was elected as Britain’s third prime minister in two months.
He appointed Williamson, who had beforehand been fired as defence minister and training minister by Sunak’s predecessors, to a ministerial function within the cupboard workplace two weeks in the past.
