MAJOR INCIDENT DECLARED AS STORM CHRISTOPH HEADS TO THE UK
A significant incident has been declared in South Yorkshire as Storm Christoph is about to carry widespread flooding, gales and snow to components of the UK.
Individuals are being urged to organize as an amber climate warning for rain was issued by the Met Workplace for Tuesday to Thursday for central northern England, affecting an space round Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield and stretching all the way down to Peterborough.
It has led to a significant incident being declared in South Yorkshire in preparation for potential flooding, mentioned Ros Jones, mayor of Doncaster.
In a tweet, Ms Jones mentioned emergency protocols had been instigated on Sunday, with sandbags handed out in flood-risk areas.
