[Ed note: This article was updated on May 1 to reflect the fact that all three places are now open once again.]
It appears like three extra Boston-area eating places are following the growing pattern of eating spots going into hibernation because the temperatures begin to drop.
Based on a number of sources, Pier 6 in Charlestown and ReelHouse in East Boston and Quincy’s Marina Bay are quickly shutting down for the winter, with the web sites for all three eating places saying that they are going to be happening “Winter Break” on November 1. No reopening dates for any of the eating places have been given as of but, neither is it recognized whether or not its different affiliated eating spot–Mija in Faneuil Corridor–might be going into hibernation as nicely; as of now, the web site for that restaurant doesn’t present that it plans to shut for the winter, but when we hear in any other case, we are going to submit an replace right here. (All 4 eating places are a part of the Navy Yard Hospitality Group.)
A minimum of 4 different native eating places have gone into hibernation over the previous few weeks, together with Commonwealth in Cambridge’s Kendall Sq., The Emory in Beacon Hill, The Kenmore in Kenmore Sq., and Grand Tour within the Again Bay, with the widespread thread showing to be the colder climate affecting things like out of doors eating and foot site visitors round eating places because the pandemic continues.
The web site for Navy Yard Hospitality Group (which incorporates hyperlinks to its eating places) will be discovered at https://www.navyyardhospitality.com/properties
[May 1, 2021 update: Based on their websites, ReelHouse in East Boston and Quincy are open once again, while Pier 6 reopens today.]
