Brazilian defender Marcelo will captain Western Sydney Wanderers in his first season on the A-League Males membership.
The brand new-look Wanderers are trying to finish a five-year finals drought, with 35-year-old Marcelo seen as a key to bolstering their defence.
Marcelo has beforehand performed for golf equipment together with Wisla Krakow, PSV Eindhoven, Hannover 96, Besiktas, Lyon and Bordeaux.
