President Kais Saied dissolves parliament in newest transfer to consolidate energy.
It’s been almost eight months since Tunisia’s president sacked the prime minister, suspended parliament and granted himself broad govt powers.
Kais Saied has now dissolved the parliament, accusing its members of trying a coup.
However legislators say it’s Saied who’s grabbing energy illegally.
The president – a former constitutional legislation professor – has rejected requires elections inside three months.
So what occurs now in a rustic that had been praised as the one success story from the Arab Spring revolutions?
