The Darkish Star Trilogy is Booker Prize-winning creator Marlon James’s epic fantasy sequence set in a fictionalised historic Africa. Dubbed the “African Recreation of Thrones”, James’s tales are crammed with highly effective witches, shape-shifting animals, and battles between warring kingdoms influenced by folklore and mythology from the continent.
Within the just-released second novel of the sequence – “Moon Witch, Spider King” – James tells the origin story of Sogolon, a centuries-old witch who hunts for a mysterious lacking baby.
The primary novel in James’ trilogy, 2019’s “Black Leopard, Pink Wolf”, was a finalist for the Nationwide E-book Award for Fiction within the US. and is ready to be tailored for the display by Michael B. Jordan.
“Moon Witch, Spider King” is the creator’s fifth ebook. In 2015, he was the primary Jamaican author to win the Booker Prize for “A Temporary Historical past of Seven Killings”.
