Yankees pitcher Corey Kluber, a two-time Cy Younger Award winner whose profession was sidetracked by accidents lately, threw a no-hitter in opposition to the Texas Rangers on Wednesday in Arlington, Texas, for a 2-0 victory.
Kluber, a 35-year-old right-hander, struck out 9 and allowed solely a stroll, to Charlie Culberson within the third inning. It was the primary no-hitter by a Yankee since David Cone threw an ideal sport in opposition to the Montreal Expos in 1999.
