Thiruvananthapuram: The AICC on Wednesday rejected a piece of celebration leaders’ demand that the electoral rolls for the Congress presidential polls be made public, saying it was an “in-house process” and any member can get its copy from any of the Pradesh Congress Committee workplaces.
All India Congress Committee common secretary (organisation) Ok C Venugopal, who was in Kerala to overview the preparations being made for the Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Yatra subsequent week, mentioned any celebration member can verify the copy of the electoral rolls at any of the PCC workplaces.
“That is an in-house process and it isn’t purported to be printed for all the general public to see,” Venugopal advised reporters in Alappuzha, whereas responding to a question.
Speaking to PTI, the senior chief mentioned Madhusudan Mistry, who’s the chairman of the Congress’ central election authority, has already given an announcement to the media on this regard.
“There isn’t a such apply within the Congress. We are going to proceed to comply with the previous apply,” Venugopal mentioned.
